Bio
Emerging from the most humble beginings in third world Latin America,
Pencho fled the raging civil war in Nicaragua only to arrive into the
first world and live in the most impoverished neighbourhoods, fighting
tooth and nail just to survive. Living such a harsh reality and travelling
through Central America with 'wet' Coyotes, left little opportunity for him
to be exposed to music. Pencho's only option was to create and improvise
his own music as a source of entertainment and comfort during these arduous
times. It was not until his arrival in the first world that Pencho was
exposed to mainstream music and that is when his love affair with Hip Hop
began. He strongly identified with the pain, struggle and even the anger
contained in this music. The expression of the Hip Hop artists of that time
such as NWA mirrored Pencho's own determination never to be held back, no
matter what. This determination led Pencho to begin rapping about the story
of his early life and all that he had endured.
